8:00 AM: Departure from Baños in a private vehicle. During the approximately 2-hour drive, you will be able to appreciate the rural Andean landscape, with indigenous crops, flocks of sheep and vicuñas, as well as typical adobe and straw houses.
10:00 AM: Arrival at the first Chimborazo station. After registration, continue the ascent to the first refuge, located at 4800 masl (15,748 feet).
10:30 AM: Arrival at the first refuge. At this point, it is important to carry out an acclimatization process to allow the body to adapt to the altitude before continuing the hike.
11:00 AM: Start the hike to the second refuge, located at 5041 masl (16,538 feet). The hike takes approximately 1 hour.
12:00 PM: Arrival at the second refuge. After a short break, take a short 10-minute walk to the "Condorcocha" lagoon, located at the glacier pass.
12:30 PM: Enjoy the breathtaking views of the Condorcocha lagoon and the surrounding mountain landscape.
1:00 PM: Descent to the first refuge, lasting approximately 40 minutes.
1:40 PM: Arrival at the first refuge.
2:00 PM: Continue the descent to the "San Juan" cliff, an iconic place with stunning panoramic views of the Chimborazo volcano and its surroundings.
3:00 PM: Lunch.
4:00 PM: Return to Baños in a private vehicle.
6:00 PM: Arrival in Baños.
