Otavalo is a destination that offers a range of alternatives for adventure tourism, nature, culture and a wide variety of delicacies typical of our Andean cuisine.
Otavalo is considered the “Intercultural Capital of Ecuador” for being the place of origin of the Quichua people, famous for their language, textile and commercial skills.

8:00 AM: Departure from Quito towards the north of the country.
9:00 AM: Arrival in Guayllabamba. Tasting of seasonal fruits (cherimoya, lime, avocado).
9:30 AM: Visit to the Quitsato sundial, located in the middle of the world.
10:00 AM: Tasting of “queso de hoja” and “biscochos” in Cayambe.
10:30 AM: Visit to a viewpoint to take panoramic photos of the Imbabura Volcano and Lake San Pablo.
11:30 AM: Arrival in Otavalo. Visit to the indigenous market, where you can buy handicrafts, embroidery, and decorations made by the Otavalo people.
1:00 PM: Lunch at a local restaurant in Otavalo.
2:00 PM: Visit to the Peguche waterfall. Short walk to the base of the waterfall.
3:00 PM: Visit to an art gallery, where you will learn about traditional Otavalo weaving and the extraction of natural dyes.
4:00 PM: Return to Quito.
5:00 PM: Arrival in Quito.
